Today’s The Day

Well, this is it. Today’s the day. Today is the day that students go back to school across the the country, except in BC. Students are not going to be sitting in their overcrowded classrooms today. They are not going to be catching up with friends they haven’t seen al summer. They aren’t going to be seeing their new teachers. Instead, today is yet another day that the BCTF and the BC government will trow jabs and fight with one another to allegedly get students back into the classrooms. Maybe today will be the day that Christy Clark and Peter Fassbender realize that enough is enough. Maybe today is the day that the BCTF will realize that they need to put more on the table to please the government-starting with the $5000 signing bonus, that should be lowered. Maybe today will be the day that both sides realize that they can end this feud rather quickly if they both want to compromise. Hopefully this will be the time that students can get the education they are entitled to, and the education that they deserve.
